Welcome to our monthly Casually Crafting Blog Hop! and my Delicate Dahlia Birthday card.
Casually Crafting Design Team Blog Hop
The Casually Crafting Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world, gathered together to share our passion for creativity with you. Our focus is to bring you inspiration featuring projects that are easy to create while still packing a powerful creative punch. The projects are made with a few products, making them ideally suited to a beginner or casual crafter. From time-to-time, we may also include a project that is stepped-up for the added wow-factor
We will be sharing our ideas on the 3rd Saturday of each month and you can hop around the group and gather loads of inspiration. So grab yourself a cup of your favourite beverage, sit back & enjoy the hop!

Delicate Dahlia Birthday Card
Today’s card is jam packed full of lovely little techniques which I will share with you layer by layer !!
It’s a remake of a card I made on my Facebook live a little while ago, but changed up to meet the colour challenge & make it easier to achieve a polished result (excuse the pun!)
Tips for making this Delicate Dahlia Birthday Card
Make the pretty background using a piece of Shimmery White card and a mask (piece of paper) which has a rounded edge, a blending brush and some Pear Pizzazz Ink. Simple. but stunning don’t you think?
Not for you? Then simple use a piece of Basic White or Pear Pizzazz cardstock instead.
Heat Emboss the front flower and leaves in Gold on Shimmery White Cardstock. Next water colour using a water painter with Polished Pink, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz Inks
TIP: use watercolour card or shimmery white card for better blending of the colour.
Alternatively you could stamp you image and colour with Stampin Blends or watercolour pencils for an equally stunning result
The other two flowers were created by adding colour to the stamp to the distinctive photopolymer flower images with a blending brush before stamping. You get this really delicate and detailed image. So pretty and a technique I will try again with this style of stamp.
Finally heat emboss the sentiment in gold an a piece of basic black card and once assembled finish the card with some Genial Gems and a little gold trim bow.
Voila!
I had great fun making these cards. So, please do leave me a comment, letting me know what you think.
If you would like to know more about any of my projects please do get in contact and I would be happy to help you
So now it’s time to hop around the rest of the wonderful demonstrators blogs to see some more inspiration
