A Little note Gilded Butterfly card – Music Blog Hop

Aug 19, 2021 | All Occasions, Step by step, Thank you

Welcome to the Crafty Collaborations Music blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around the world. We love showcasing the wonderful products which can found in our suite of catalogues. Today our theme is Music and I thought I would have a little fun with one of our embossing folders to create some Gilded Butterfly cards.

Gilded Butterfly Card

Sometimes you need a little stash of cards at hand to send out in a hurry and I came up with this idea to create a fun note card with two musical references

To make the cards I cut a whole sheet of the solid butterflies from the Brilliant Wings dies and popped them into my Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder. TIP: make sure each butterfly is lined up so the notes line up nicely across the wings

Next dip a sponge dauber (or use your finger) in some glue and gently smear a little around the edges of each butterfly. TIP: Little is best to create that worn distressed look.

Add some of the amazing Gilded Leafing flakes, brush off the excess and set aside the butterflies to dry.

Once dry shape each wing with a bone folder to create a more realistic look.

The sentiment fitted the theme perfectly and is from the Enjoy the Moment Stamp set. It has been heat embossed in gold to keep with the elegant pared down theme

Layer the gold and white onto the card and add the butterfly with just a little glue on its abdomen.

That’s it! Simple and elegant.

I made 6 cards in just hour, & you could add ribbon and embellishments or add coloured or patterned paper to the mix. Do tell me if you try these cuties.
