This month our theme is to create some projects using the wonderful Simply Elegant Suite.

So let me introduce you to the Stamp Set:

Elegantly Said – 155095

Such a lovely variety of images and beautiful sentiments. I’ts one of those stamp sets you don’t realise just how much you will use and when you pair it with the gorgeous suite! Well what can I say……

Simply Elegant Suite

There is a wonderful coordinating punch which I have already made use of for quick gift labels, but even better you can bundle the punch and stamp set to get a 10% saving on the purchase woo hoo!

Simply Elegant DSP

I also wanted to draw your attention to the beautiful Designer series papers which are the inspiration for my card. They have gold, silver and copper foil on the designs, making them a really luxurious, elegant set of designs

Copper Slimline Anniversary Card

I used one of the pieces of amazing Designer Series paper as the inspiration for my card. This piece has gold, copper and silver foil elements, but I focussed on the copper to create an anniversary card for my husband as we have been married for 7 years next month!

Sadly there was a huge thunderstorm raging when I needed to photograph my cards so its a little dark at one end. But I’m sure you get the idea.

With copper as the main colour I really went to town… Copper foil, Copper Embossing Powder, Copper Ribbon & Copper Embellishments….. Wait hold on? We don’t hold Copper Ribbon and embellishments. (Well we didn’t when I wrote this post).

How To make Copper Ribbon & matching Bling?

  • Ribbon – Take a Piece of Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon and colour with the Dark Cinnamon Cider Stampin Blend. Easy!
  • Embellishments – Take some Rhinestone Basic Jewels and colour with the Dark Cinnamon Cider Stampin Blend. Super Easy!

I love it when you can change the colour of your ribbons & embellishments to coordinate with your projects!

How to make your Copper Slimline Anniversary Card

  • Take your base card and add Layer 1 & 2 & 3 with glue
  • Wrap your ‘copper’ ribbon (see how it was made above) around the card and tie in a bow
  • Take Layer 5 ( Shimmery White card) & heat emboss the medallion from the Plenty of Patterns Decorative Masks in Copper.
  • Adhere to Layer 4 with Glue and add to the base card with Dimensionals
  • Stamp the images onto Layer 2 in Cinnamon Cider Ink
  • Take the copper, punched label ( Sentiment Layer 2) & cut into two and then layer below the sentiment tag with glue.
  • Add to the card using Dimensionals
  • Finish with some copper gems (see how they were made above)
  • Don’t forget to decorate the inside!
