Here Comes Summer! – Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop

Jun 8, 2021 | Birthdays, Blog Hop

Welcome to our Tech 4 Stampers blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from around the world who are part of a Tech Academy run by the amazing Louise Sims. Her Website School and Tech Academy helps Stampin Up Demonstrators navigate their way around the world of websites and social media. Now many of us have our websites up and running, a blog hop seemed the next logical step. This month the theme is HERE COMES SUMMER.

When I think of summer, then my thoughts always turn towards childhood holidays by the beach. Paddling in the rockpools and collecting shells.

Here Comes Summer – Rest and Relax side easel card

I made this card on a recent Facebook live and thought it would be perfect to share today.

The papers are from the Sand& Sea DSP and have been layered to create a beach and the surf

Add some Linen Thread & then fussy cut the shells from the pretty DSP papers and arrange with a mix of glue and Dimensionals

Finally stamp the sentiment – from the Timeless Tropical stamp set. Fussy cut and add to the card front

You can see how I made this card HERE

Make a wish In-colour Card Measurements

  • Card Base: Sahara Sand – 21.0 cm by 14.9 cm score at 5.3cm 10.5 cm to form the easel
  • First Layer: Basic White ( or the retired Seaside spray) – 14.3 cm by 10.0 cm
  • Second Layer : DSP 14.0cm by 7.0 cm CUT TWO
  • Inside Layer one: Basic White – 14.3 cm by 10.0 cm
  • Inside Layer two: DSP 14.0cm by 7.0 cm

Here Comes Summer – Collect beautiful Moments card

For my second card I wanted to play homage to those childhood memories I mentioned earlier.

Following a similar format to the first card I layered the piece of ‘sand’ and the torn ‘sea’ onto a piece of basic white card. Don’t forget to add some Wink of Stella on the torn edge to really accentuate the surf

Next add some Linen Thread and add the layers to the base card of Sahara Sand.

The image from the must have Beautiful Moments is stamped with Memento Ink and coloured with Blends

Once complete die cut the image using the largest label in the Hippo & Friends die set and add to the card using Dimensionals

Finally finish with some Opal Rounds.

Voila!

I so enjoyed making this card and I would love to know what you think? Please do leave me a comment.

If you would like to know more about any of my projects please do get in contact and I would be happy to help you

So now it’s time to hop around the rest of the wonderful demonstrators blogs to see some more inspiration for using these wonderful patterned papers
