Welcome to our monthly Casually Crafting Blog Hop! This month we have a Colour Challenge as our inspiration and I thought it would be fun to make three cards from one simple layout
Casually Crafting Design Team Blog Hop
Who are we? The Casually Crafting design team are a group of Stampin’ Up demonstrators from around the world, that just love to stamp when ever we can.
It’s no secret, that we particularly love the type of projects that are simple and easy to make with just a few products, so they are ideally suited to a beginner or casual crafter. Sometimes, we will add in an additional wow project that is a little more stepped up.
We will be sharing our ideas on the 3rd Saturday of each month and you can hop around the group and gather loads of inspiration. So grab yourself a cup of your favourite beverage, sit back & enjoy the hop!
Colour Challenge
So our colour challenge is to use at least one of our new 2021-23 In-Colours. I have been playing with this set quite a bit, but thought it would be fun to pick just one and use it with some of our other wonderful colours.
So I chose to use the lovely Pale Papaya for my cards.
Biggest Wish
As soon as I saw the Biggest Wishes Stamp set. I literally whooped with delight and did a little happy dance. I love BIG bold sentiments and even better all the words are in two fonts so you can mix & match to your hearts content.
Patterned Party Designer Series Paper
Have you spotted the wonderful Pattern Party 12″ x 12″ 48 Sheet mega bundle yet? Yep, 4 each of 12 double sided designs. One side coloured, the other Black & white patterns & even better this is free! Woo woo! You can grab this enormous pack as part of your host rewards. What’s not to love?
Three Cards From One Simple Layout
For my cards today I thought it would be fun to use the colours from the papers to create my own background papers with one of the words from the Stamp Set. Starting with a piece of Basic White Cardstock, I have repeatedly stamped the Hello/Happy or Thanks sentiment from Biggest Wish. Next add the sentiment in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink.
I added a strip of the DSP with a sliver of coordinating card stock & finished with some Artistry Blooms sequins.
I just love how bright and vibrant these cards are & I will certainly be using these Stamps again soon.
Three Cards From One Simple Layout – Stepped up
I make a second set of cards and stepped them up a little, adding in some die- cut borders and image.
For my first stepped up card I used the chevron Stitched Edge from the Basic Border Dies & Replaced the sequins with flowers from the Bloom Dies.
For the next card I added the cloud shaped Stitched Edge from the Basic Border Dies & added a cake and Candles from the Puffin Party Stamp Set.
Finally use the the pattern Stitched Edge from the Basic Border Dies & added some punched flowers form the Flowers of friendship Stamp Set. These were coloured with Blends and look so pretty.
Voila!
I had great fun making this card. So, please do leave me a comment, letting me know what you think.
If you would like to know more about any of my projects please do get in contact and I would be happy to help you
So now it’s time to hop around the rest of the wonderful demonstrators blogs to see some more inspiration

I love these cards! Did you use the Stamparatus to make your backgrounds? I’d love to know how.
I hand stamped them as it was quicker than using the Stamparatus.
