Apr 28, 2021 | Birthdays, Challenge, Step by step

Welcome to the Crafty Collaborations Crafty Challenge blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around the world. We love showcasing the wonderful products which can found in our suite of catalogues. This month we have a sketch challenge. I love a sketch challenge and thought I would grab my Butterfly Brilliance stamp set and make a Blended Butterfly Brilliance Birthday Card

Sketch Challenge

Here is this the sketch challenge and it really is a super layout.

Butterfly Brilliance

I absolutely love this bundle and am constantly finding new ways to use it. Plus who doesn’t like butterflies?

Blended Butterfly Brilliance Birthday Card

Last week we took a few days away in remote part of the wonderful Cotswolds. Always a beautiful part of the UK, but in spring it is especially pretty. Full of wildflowers and the first butterflies of the year.

So I decided to use the sketch to create a bright and cheery birthday card inspired by the wonderful Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper.

How to make a Blended Butterfly Brilliance Birthday card

  • Take the first layer and emboss to create some lovely texture
  • Add to the card base using glue.
  • Adhere the second layer using glue.
  • Die cut a label using the second largest circular die in the Hippo and Friends set.
  • Stamp the sentiment and small butterfly in Rich Razzleberry Ink
  • Use a blending brush to add a little Rich Razzleberry Ink around the edge of the label and attach to the base card with Dimensionals.
  • Stamp two of the butterflies Rich Razzleberry Ink and colour using the Blending brushes.
  • Adhere to the card using Dimensionals.
  • Add a little Wink of Stella to all three butterflies
  • Finish with three Playing with Patterns Resin Dots

Voila!

I so enjoyed making this card and I would love to know what you think? Please do leave me a comment.
