How To Make A Fun St Patrick’s Day Shamrock Card

Happy St Patrick’s Day, Crafty Friends. So I thought I would share my cute St Patrick’s Day Shamrock card that I sent to a lovely Irish friend whom I haven’t been able to see for a while.

St Patrick’s Day Shamrock Card

I just love how this card turned out. Plenty of detail and texture for a pretty simple card.

How to make the Shamrock and coloured wording

Use a wide water painter to add plenty of water to a piece of Fluid 100 watercolor Paper (12.5 cm by 9.0 cm).
Drip Granny Apple green re-inker onto the watercolor paper and allow the colour to spread out across the paper until it is all covered.
Allow to dry or speed up the process with a heat gun
Once dry punch out three hearts & fussy cut a stem, Stamp the image on top of each shape with Versamark ink, add Heat and stick powder, heat gently until the powder dissolves and then add some Gilded leafing
Die cut the words and repeat the process above to add the Gilded Leafing

Make the Card

Take a piece of Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock (29.0 cm by 14.5 cm) & score at 14.5 cm, fold and burnish to create a card base
Add a piece of Granny Apple Green Card stock (13.5 cm by 13.5 cm)
Take a piece of Very Vanilla card stock & Emboss using the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder & attach to the card base.
Attach the stem and wording using glue
Shape the hearts and arrange to form the shamrock shape. Add to the card using Dimensionals
Finish with some Gilded Gems
