Creativity Abounds Blog Hop
The theme for our blog hop this month is “Love” and all of the projects feature one of the new products on pages 10-17 of the Stampin’ Up! January to June Mini Catalogue. For my projects I chose products from the stunning Love You Always Suite. I have to say I adore everything in this suite.
Cute Treat bags using Love You Always Suite
Do you have a little trinket/gift or thank you to give? Then these bags will work a treat ! They would be perfect for table gifts or favour bags at weddings/anniversaries or parties. Who wouldn’t want to get one of these?
I based my design on the middle bag which compliments the project I have in this months tutorial. Want to see it? Then scroll down to find out how.
The bag itself is super simple to make and uses the stunning black and white True Love Designer Series Papers
The top is made with the largest of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies, which is scored and folded in half. Is is attached with some of the gorgeous Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon using the Label me Fancy Punch to create the slits in each side.
The Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon has two sides, One is shiny and has a pink/gold hue where as the other side is a more traditional subtle shade of Blushing Bride. Use the metallic side for this project .
To complement the papers add a fussy cut a flower (From a scrap of the True Love papers), to the front. Before adhering tint the flower with some Blushing Bride and Soft Seafoam Inks using a Wink of Stella pen and then add a double layered die cut ‘LOVE’ with some Dimensionals.
On the top heat emboss the ‘WITH’ using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto basic Black card and attach it with Dimensionals. The final flourish are some of the stunning Matte black dots
Measurements & score lines
- Base: DSP or Coloured cardstock – 7 1/2″ by 6″
- Score at 2 1/2″, 3 1/2″, 6″ 7″ on the long side
- Score at 1″ on the short side
More Treat bags ideas using Love You Always Suite
More my other two bags I changed up the papers and the colours to show that you some more options
Instead of using Patterned papers I used Blushing Bride card stock and stamped one of the flowers from the Forever and Always Stamp Set in Versamark. So pretty!
As I mentioned above the Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon has two sides, One is shiny and has a pink/gold hue, where as the other side is a more traditional subtle shade of Blushing Bride. Here is used the latter to coordinate with my card.
The top piece is Basic white and I carried the theme through by stamping the flower image in Blushing Bride Ink and adding a sentiment from the Beauty Abounds Stamp Set (from the Annual Catalogue) to show just how versatile this suite is. This would make a lovely table favour at a wedding or a special dinner.
Thank you Treat bags using Love You Always Suite
For my final project I wanted to create some little thank you bags
I used a different pattern from the True Love Designer Series Papers and this time used a piece of Basic Black for the top.
The ribbon is the Glittered Organdy Ribbon and works perfectly with the colour combination, just adding a little touch of sparkle. To finish I heat embossed the sentiment in White Stampin Emboss Powder and a couple of Resin Heart Embellishments
These would make perfect little party thank you gifts
