Stampin up demonstrator – Crafty Little Minx – Mother’s Love – Mum’s the word
I have finally changed my blog to WordPress which will allow me to automate my future posts. Hopefully I will now have a little more time to create and to share. This is something I have struggled with in the past few months as I juggle a very full time job along side running classes and keeping some level of order at home let alone get into my crafty nook to place ink on paper.
So what better time to start than with a card for my mum. She has always been creative and has taught me how to sew, knit and crochet over the years, none of which I became all that accomplished. However we both discovered paper crafting about the same time and although we have quite different styles the time we spend together ‘playing’ is so precious to me.
I do like a gate fold card and its so easy with the Stampin up Simply Scored Scoring board. I created the base with a piece of the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer series paper (which can be yours for FREE with a £45 order). The top layer is stamped using one of my go to background stamps, Hardwood. I added a little extra depth by sponging round the edges.
Now the really fun bit! I randomly stamped out the flowers in different colours using the Petite Petal set and then punched them out and arranged them around the stamped sentiment before sticking to the base card. A few pearl highlights finish of the outside.
I had a few flowers left over which were added to the inside around the other half of the sentiment. Voila!
Don’t forget there are only two weeks left to grab yourself some free products
